The 24 Hour Plays: Mexico City

For the sixth year, The 24 Hour Plays: Mexico City is back. For one night only, a group of playwrights, directors and actors come together to create brand-new short plays. Supporting the INCAN National Cancer Institute. The 24 Hour Plays® bring together extraordinary artists to create time-limited theater around the world.

We started by bringing together a diverse group of renowned theater artists in Mexico (six playwrights, six directors and 30 actors) who meet for the first time the night before the event. The writers stay up all night crafting their plays, while the actors and directors get some sleep. The next morning, they hit the ground running in rehearsal blocking and memorizing their new plays. That night at 8:30 p.m. the curtain goes up, and for the first and only time on six new plays.Supporting the INCAN National Cancer Institute.
