Over the last two years, we’ve had the honor of making new work with the most incredible array of artists one could imagine. During this time, The 24 Hour Plays produced nearly 600 free-to-view theater pieces, featuring the work of over 850 artists and enjoyed millions of times by audiences worldwide. We’ve shared so many stories, both onscreen and off.
Playwrights found new life with us after canceled productions. Actors realized creative work from every corner of the lockdown. Artists found new collaborators at a moment when they needed them most. Again and again we’ve heard — from some of the most significant artists in the world, from early-career professionals, from young students and from audiences everywhere — that The 24 Hour Plays gave people hope.
As theater organizations fell all around us, The 24 Hour Plays thrived because people can do amazing things when they come together — onstage and off.
