Since 2002, The 24 Hour Plays have brought together creative communities in Los Angeles to make work over the course of a single day. After a successful spring show, we’re back at The Hudson Theaters on September 23, 2024. Distinguished artists from the LA entertainment community will come together for one night only to create six brand new short plays written, rehearsed and performed in just 24 hours.

Writers include Bekah Brunstetter (“This Is Us”), Chelsea Marcantel (Airness), Gabrielle Allan & Jennifer Crittenden (“Veep”), Kevin Armento (Sometimes I Think About Dying) and Michelle Flowers (“Reasonable Doubt”). Directors include Casey Stangl (Brushstroke), Jacquelyn Landgraf (“It Makes A Sound“), Jaki Bradley (The One), Rob Greenberg (“How I Met Your Mother“), Ryan Bergmann (Psycho Beach Party) and Stefanie Black (Adult Interference).

Does it really all happen in 24 hours?
Yes! New plays are written, rehearsed, memorized (no scripts in hand!), and performed in just 24 hours.
Is the show 24 hours long?
No! Our full process is 24 hours long, but The 24 Hour Plays generally runs about two hours with a fifteen minute intermission.
